Curriculum
Kingfisher Private School follows the Revised National Curriculum Statements (RNCS) and uses Outcomes Based Education (OBE) assessment standards at all levels. Detailed information about the curriculum can be found on the RNCS web site.
Assessment
A policy of continuous assessment is followed with all tasks and assignments assessed. A form of assessment criteria for the different Learning Areas is kept.
A report is sent home each term. The grade 1 first term report is a Perceptual Progress report. The grade 2 and 3 reports are assessment reports graded on a 1 – 4 scale. An evaluation on homework, involvement, responsibility and co-operation are assessed as good, average and weak. The reports for the 2nd and 4th terms have assessment grading for every Learning Area.
